Frequently Asked Questions
How long will I have to wait for an appointment?
In most cases, I will be able to see you within one/two weeks from when you get in touch. All sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
How do you deliver therapy?
Given the current situation with COVID-19, we are now offering online virtual therapy, which means that therapy is a click away and accessible at a time convenient for you.
Do you work with clients who are based in other town/cities?
Yes we do. You do not have to be based locally within our region, to receive therapy as sessions are being conducted via a online video platform. Please get in touch, if you wish to discuss this further.
Will my counselling sessions be confidential?
Yes, all therapy sessions are confidential. However I retain the right to break confidentiality without prior consultation with you, should I consider that the urgency of the situation requires me to act immediately to safeguard the physical safety of yourself and others.
Do you work with my health insurance provider?
We are registered with some insurance providers (Aviva, Vitality Health, Aetna Global Benefits). It is advised to speak to your health provider first and obtain an authorisation code.
How many counselling sessions will I require?
The length of a therapeutic journey will depend on your personal circumstances and requirements.
Regular reviews take place verbally to evaluate the counselling process on a mutual basis.

We also offer “booster” sessions to clients who have completed a course of treatment, should they require further support in the future.
