How long will I have to wait for an appointment?

In most cases, I aim to see you within one/two weeks from when you get in touch. All sessions must be booked in advance and is subject to availability.

How do you deliver therapy?

I offer online video counselling (E-Sessions), which means that therapy is a click away and accessible at a time convenient for you.

Do you work with clients who are based in other town/cities?

Yes I do. You do not have to be based locally within my region, to receive therapy as sessions are being conducted via a video platform. Please get in touch, if you wish to discuss this further.

Will my counselling sessions be confidential?

Yes, all therapy sessions are confidential. However I retain the right to break confidentiality without prior consultation with you, should I consider that the urgency of the situation requires me to act immediately to safeguard the physical safety of yourself and others.

Do you work with health insurance providers?

If you have medical insurance I am registered with the following providers: - Aviva, Vitality Health and Aetna Global Benefits. (It is advised to speak to your insurance company first and obtain an authorisation code).

How many counselling sessions will I require?

The length of a therapeutic journey will depend upon your personal circumstances and requirements.

Regular reviews take place verbally to evaluate the counselling process on a mutual basis.

Further support

I also offer “booster” sessions to clients who have completed a course of treatment, should they require further support in the future.

Assessment consultation:

Duration- 60 minutes

During your first appointment, you will have the opportunity to share your journey and to ask any questions you have about our therapeutic journey. All of the information obtained here will be used to help you in future sessions.

If at any stage I feel I can no longer support you, we will explore further agencies that may be able to support your presenting need(s).

On going appointments are usually scheduled for the same time on a weekly basis.

As a psychotherapist, do you prescribe medication?

No, psychotherapists do not prescribe medication. Any requirements must be discussed with your GP or other health professional such as a psychiatrist.
