“I really enjoyed working with Baljit over the six counselling sessions.

When I attended the first session, I was attending my father’s funeral the following week. This first session prepared me for the days leading up to the funeral and the days thereafter. I found the inner strength to get through this difficult time. I found the exercises useful and will continue to revisit them going forward.

My most favourite exercises were the (i)self care exercise and (ii)boundary exploration . The selfcare exercise opened up my understanding as to what selfcare consisted of and the importance of looking after yourself. The boundary exploration exercise allowed me to review my personal life and address how the different types of boundaries can be applied. Overall it was a valuable experience”

“I first reached out to Baljit when my mum passed away.

I spoke to Baljit for an initial discussion on the telephone and I was immediately struck by her warmth and kindness. I had no hesitation in proceeding to making an appointment, which then started my journey.

I was initially looking for grief counselling and her profile attracted me for that purpose. She helped me hugely through this time, explaining the stages of grief and offering support and guidance throughout. She took time to understand what was going on all around me and encouraged me to be kind to myself.

I am so pleased I found Baljit. She has a very calming nature. She has walked me through the past months offering compassion, understanding and kindness in a non-judgemental way. She provides constant guidance in a safe space and has worked with me to transform the way I navigate life in general. She is an amazing listener, always so happy for the sessions to take whatever turn they do. She will then offer validation and explanations.
